A Message from the Director        January 5, 2013

Dear Academy Members, Parents, and Loyal Fans,

The first half of our event-filled season was indeed an exciting challenge as foretold, and a challenge that our enthusiastic students met with unprecedented dedication and commitment, which will undoubtedly serve as the springboard for the continued successes of our ambitious academy. DNA has laid down the gauntlet to all other teams and academies in this region, and we all must work hard to match our past successes. We must not shy away from the competitive environment that unparalleled success inevitably brings. We must continue to push ourselves, both Coaches and Players, to achieve new heights, confident in DNA's footballing and HOLISTIC philosophy, and humble in our pursuit of perfection. Clichéd though it may be, the sky is indeed the limit, when ambition, talent and dedication are in synergy. Our DNA players of all age groups have exhibited all of the aforementioned, and we ask our Coaching staff to continue raising the bar at all levels.

DNA's under 6 and 7's were a joy to watch with their pure and unbridled enthusiasm for the game. They literally swept aside most of the teams they played by astronomic scores, even when they were matched against under 8 and 9 teams, so there could be some measure of parity to the game.

DNA's under 8 and 9's is an extra-ordinarily talented group. Our Coaches intense focus on ball training with all our age groups, has produced almost instantaneous results with this group of players. This age group is probably the most externally receptive, so we stress the importance of ball demonstrations and exposure to all things skilful.

DNA's under 10's may just have produced one of the most gifted players we have seen come into our academy. This team easily won the just concluded Beirut tournament quite easily, destroying opposing teams in the process. Our own "Messi"  as he is affectionately called was by far the superior player of this age group, and the bad news for other teams is that his other team-mates are quickly approaching the level of this standard bearer!!

Our under 11 and 12's were also excellent champions at the Beirut tournament, playing the most eye-catching football that could be seen. They won all 6 games played on their way to the final where they dominated BFA in running out 2-0 victors. They tallied 25 goals for with a paltry 3 against!!!!! This team display of total football embodies DNA's philosophy at it's best. Positive possession of the ball and intelligent pressing to immediately regain it.

DNA"s under 14's and 13's who play 11 a side were the surprise of the tournament reaching the final (to be played Saturday) in some style!! Their transition from 7 a side to full field was a challenge, but they have adapted splendidly, such is their grounding, and we look forward to them lifting the trophy and making us all proud!!!

Our under 16 and 15's have also reached the final (to be played Saturday), and this was expected from this group, most of whom started their football careers under our auspices. They have been unstoppable in this tournament, and if they play with the desired energy, combined with their fancied possession football, they too should be the victors GOD willing come Saturday afternoon!!

Our First team, the traditional standard bearers of our academy, have shown their desire and ambition in many of their games this season. We have played against several 1st division teams, and it would be no exaggeration to say that we have looked the dominant team in all of those games. The finishing end of things will come with more experience as our academy's oldest players are chomping at the bit to travel to England and battle it out against professional opposition come summer.

All other DNA teams are looking forward to our next trip to Europe come Easter vacation. The destination looks like Munich or Barcelona, and again another excellent opportunity to see what our standard really is compared to the best teams in the world!!! We are unafraid, motivated by our self-belief and confidence in our PHILOSOPHY!! Challenges will be met head-on and conquered!!

We are DNA, and responsibilities will be shouldered by all!!! So, I wish all our Coaching staff and Players, a successful and inspiring second half of the season, as we strive forward towards PERFECTION in all facets of our lives!! So stay true to our beloved motto "LEARNING IS WINNING"!!!!

            GOD BLESS !!!!!
